DMAP — up to $15,000 toward a digital modernization plan.

What the Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan covers, who qualifies, and what disqualifies you.

The Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan is an Ontario program administered by the Ontario Centre of Innovation through the Digital Competence Centre. As of September 2026 it provides a matched grant of up to $15,000 to Ontario-based for-profit SMEs with 1–499 employees, to assess their technology needs and produce a modernization plan. It funds the plan, not the implementation. Applications run first come, first served, while funds last. Approval and amounts are decided by OCI, not Vitops.

What it actually covers.

The deliverable is a plan: where your technology is now, where it should be, what it would cost, and in what order. That is genuinely the work — it's the same audit-and-roadmap exercise we'd run at the start of an engagement anyway, which is why this program fits our clients more neatly than most.

It does not cover buying software, hardware, or implementation labour. The Ontario program that funded implementation — TDP — closed 10 August 2026 with no replacement announced.

What stops people.

It's matched. You're funding part of it. It reduces the cost of planning; it doesn't eliminate it.

It can close without notice. First come while funds last means exactly that. Ontario added $5 million to the Digital Competence Centre in May 2026, expected to support around 450 businesses, which helps — but it is not an open-ended pool.

Taking RMPG instead spends this eligibility. If you're a retailer weighing the $5,000 RMPG against DMAP, you can only take one. For most retailers with real modernisation ahead, the $15,000 DMAP is the better trade.

How we fit.

We'll tell you on the first call whether you're likely to qualify. If you are, we document the modernization plan in the form OCI expects, and deliver the scoped work if you hire us for it. We don't charge separately for application support, and we can't influence the outcome — that's OCI's decision.

Common questions.

Do we have to use the plan?

No. You own it either way, including if you decide not to engage us for the build.

How long does it take?

Typically weeks rather than months, though intake timing varies. Worth starting sooner given the first-come structure.

Does the $15,000 come to us or to you?

It's your grant. We're paid for the planning work it contributes toward.

Is there still a program that funds implementation after DMAP?

Not currently. TDP filled that role and closed 10 August 2026 with nothing announced to replace it. DMAP is still worth doing on its own — the plan is yours either way.

Find out in one call whether this applies to you.

Tell us your headcount, roughly your revenue, and what you're trying to change. We'll tell you which program fits, or that none of them do.
